BE A BACHELOR OR BACHELORETTE!

Here is all the information you need to learn about how to become a bachelor/ette. Email us if you have any questions!

Thank you for considering supporting a local chairty by participating as a bachelor/ette. This is an easy, fun way to meet others and make a difference. This is a two night commitment so this is a great option for all of us who are just so busy and unfortunately have limited time to volunteer.

Our intent is to create a fun, feel-good event for everyone. Our events feature a mix and mingle, during which the bachelor/ettes sport leis/boas/puppy dog ears, whatever ties in with the charity, for easy identification, while floating throughout the crowd pouring wine for the guests, which helps to "break the ice."

The mix and mingle will be followed by a bachelor/ette auction, where dates with some of the finest men and women will be auctioned off to raise money for a local charity. After the auction, guests are encouraged to stay for music and dancing.

Here's how the auction works:

DATES
*Each bachelor/ette puts together his/her own date package. Previous date packages have included everything from dinner and drinks to an Eric Clapton concert.

* We provide you with a donation letter to approach local business – asking them to donate dinner for two, a whale watching tour, etc. (most companies do this since it's tax deductible.)

* The dates are meant to be fun. No pressure. No expectations. Just an opportunity to experience dating for what it is: an opportunity to meet new, interesting people; to connect with someone who may turn into a friend or something more. And, keep in mind, it's for charity!

Bidding
? Bidding starts at $50 and goes up in increments from there.
? The highest bidder wins a date with the bachelor/ette.
? All your information is kept confidential. We obtain the purchaser’s information and provide you with the winning bidder’s contact information the day after the auction.
? Since this is a fundraising event, we require each bachelor/ette to sell a minimum of 10 tickets to the benefit. We will sell you the tickets ahead of time and ask that you collect the money from friends and co-workers. The total is $350.00.
? We require that you contact the purchaser within one week of the benefit and go on the date within one month.

How you can help the charity
? Promote the event to your mailing list, friends, coworkers, associates, etc.
? Connect us with people in the community who you think can help us promote the event.
? Introduce us to men and women who might be interested in being bachelor/ettes.

Please email me your picture and fill out the bio questionnaire and date package info! Thank you again for your interest and support. I look forward to hearing from you!

What's in it for you:

Fun! Our Bachelor/ette Auctions are a blast, filled with feel-good vibes and fun, charity-minded folks.

You'll meet lots of new people--some will become friends, business contacts or, if you're lucky, that special someone you've been looking for.

You'll raise some serious dough for charity and sleep well at night knowing you made a difference in the lives of others!

You'll have a great story to tell your grand kids about!

Your responsibilities will include:

Creating a date package. Dates with bachelors/bachelorettes are auctioned off at each event with the proceeds donated to charity. Your date can be as creative and in whatever price range you want. There's only one rule: Make it fun! Many times, local businesses will donate dinner for two, movie tickets, spa packages, hot air balloon rides, etc. What better way to dine at that fancy restaurant you've always wanted to try but could never afford than to get a gift certificate donated?!

What if I the person who bids on me is not my type? - Sure, there's a chance you might not be crazy about the person, but hey, it's for charity! Then again, you might have a great time with the person, who may just end up becoming a good friend or something more.

Talking up the event to your friends.

Attending the event for the entire duration. Our events are typically from 7-10pm, with bachelors & bachelorettes arriving an hour before the party starts.
