Diane, Co-Founder & President

Diane has over eight years of experience raising money for charities by throwing top-notch parties.  She got her start in event planning after volunteering for the American Cancer Society where she learned that she could make a living by raising money for the fight against cancer. She was 19 at the time and was so excited about that opportunity that presented itself. Diane, with the help of countless volunteers and supporters, has raised more than one million dollars for different charities around the world. Diane is driven towards charity work, as she lost a parent to cancer, and has worked tirelessly to raise money for cancer research.

Diane also spent time as a reservist in the United States Army Reserves for eight years and was deployed to Kuwait during Operation Enduring Freedom in 2003. 

In her spare time, Diane loves spending time with her family. She recently moved Buy Me Love Benefits to Daytona to be close to her father, brother and grandfather. She also has recently found a passion for being outside, even with the change from San Diego weather to Florida weather, she can be found weekly biking, running, washing her families cars and hiking.

She is always one of the first to try every new hot destination that could possibly serve as a location for a featured Buy Me Love Benefits auction.

Katie, Director of PR & Media Relations

Katie also brings with her a wealth of experience in fundraising for organizations that need it, as well as a personal dedication to helping causes.  Katie shares in an unfortunate struggle with Diane, as she also lost parents to cancer, and will work towards helping to find a cure as long as it takes.

Katie grew up in the Midwest and got her degree from Purdue University in IN.  Upon graduation, she moved to California, and got her start in event planning by doing just that for the City of Sausalito in Northern California.  Katie felt the draw of Southern California, however, and came here a few years ago.  She spent time managing the media relations for the Humane Society, where she met Diane, and given their shared passion for helping those in need, a new and ground-breaking company, Buy Me Love Benefits, was born.

Katie is also quite well-rounded, in that she also enjoys SCUBA diving, hiking and biking, riding horses, doing anything active and spending as much time as possible with her family and friends.  Katie is also a noted Kung Fu and Tai Chi instructor, and looks forward to working with Diane in establishing Buy Me Love Benefits as the first and foremost company of its kind.

Adrianna, Volunteer Director

Adrianna has been in volunteer management for over 4 years. She has been the volunteer coordinator for the North County Humane Society and for a division of UCSD. She has worked in the nonprofit sector for over 6 years and volunteers for several organizations in her free time.

Adrianna got her B.A. in Anthropology from UCSD and her M.S. in Medical Anthropology from the University of Oxford. While in graduate school, she had the good fortune to meet Jane Goodall. Dr. Goodall inspired Adrianna to dedicate her life to animal welfare and to become a vegetarian. Adrianna has four cats and one (very large) dog.

Eli, Partner

Eli became involved with Buy Me Love Benefits in 2007. A New York City native, he made his way to San Diego in 1999 following an enlistment in the Marine Corps. Graduating from San Diego State University in 2005 with a degree in Information Technology, Eli began exploring all that San Diego nightlife had to offer working as Director of Promotions for Diablos Productions. It was in this environment that he discovered his passion for event planning and production.

Recognizing a need in the non-profit community for professional fundraising event planning services, Eli left the mortgage industry and founded Inwood Hill in 2007. An advocate for the progression of health and arts related initiatives within the Latino community, Eli quickly began work that summer with MANA® and Hermanitas®, a Latina youth mentorship program.

During a chance meeting with a media sponsor, Diane and Eli were introduced. Turning down Diane’s request to be a bachelor at her upcoming event, Eli opted instead to attend as her guest and view first hand what Buy Me Love Benefits was about. Seeing the drive and passion Diane had for bettering her community one event at-a-time it became clear to Eli that a partnership was a must.

Their first collaborative effort came later that year during the “Howlin’ Halloween for A Humane Tomorrow” event at the House of Blues. Eli’s addition to the Buy Me Love Benefits team as a strategic partner has since been seamless. Both continue to develop new and exciting event models for charitable minded, single men and women to meet and make a difference. In his spare time Eli enjoys sports, reading, cooking, the arts, going to concerts, meeting new people and traveling.
